Dilip Kumar was the hero of the film and he didn't got even a single solo song in the film. In Prabhat's Aadmi (1939), the first multi lingual songs 'Ab Kis Liye Kal Ki Baat..' was recorded. Ten years later, Sachinda experimented again with a multi lingual song 'Ye Duniya Roop Ki chor..' which was sung by Shamshad Begum. The song was a huge hit, it was not only in Hindi but also in various other languages like Gujrati, Marathi, Punjabi, Bengali and Tamil. This experimental composition of Dada Burman implanted a standard in that era. 'Kismat Me Bichhadna Tha Huyi Kyun Unse Mohabbat Re..' (Geeta Dutt), 'Mera Dil Tadpa Kar Kahan Chal..' (Geeta Dutt! ), 'Tu Mehlon Me Rehne Wali..' (Mukesh-Shamshad), 'Tumhare Liye Huye Badnaam.' (Mukesh-Shamshad), 'Pyar Me Hamne Dhokha Seekha..' (Mukesh-Shamshad) and 'Hum Kisko Sunayen Haal-e-Dil..' (Lalita) were rest of the songs of the film. All the songs of the film attained immense popularity among the music lovers, especially the three duets of Mukesh and Shamshad Begum.
